Nisha's Blog 6

Hi all,

This week was full of fun and excitement at Escalla! We started off the week by learning about different topics which occur in everyday life, these were radicalisation, extremism, equality, diversity and the British values. I think these were very important topics to learn about as they are shown in the way that many people around the world behave, these characteristics and acts have shown me that people do not always use these ways in an extreme manner however people can also radicalise and disturb equality and diversity in quite minor ways. Learning about these topics has helped me to open my eyes to how people act in general day to day life.

As the week continued we learnt about more topics and gathered certificates for these in order to be able to use them as evidence. These topics included General awareness, Prevention, British Values, radicalisation, extremism, equality, diversity, mental health awareness, staying safe online, and what can you trust.

Towards the end of the week we filled in the DSE workstation assessment booklet and learnt how to complete a SWOT analysis and to write up a report. Also, as a little extra we all came together to create a presentation on all of the topics that we had learnt throughout the week, which was really fun and helped us to put the topics we had learnt about into more realistic situations like when we did the activities.

Lastly on Friday night when I got home I got the angriest look off my dog as I don't think she was impressed me leaving her for a week and spending it with another dog!๐Ÿ˜„

Thankyou,

Nisha๐Ÿ’•
